Creativity Expert Ken Robinson Says Schools Kill Creativity

Although there are certainly some great schools and teachers out there, as an employer I am routinely shocked at how poor of a job our education system does at teaching today’s current and future employees what they need to know to excel and survive in the workplace. Typically a graduate from a 4 year University cannot spell, they cannot articulate themselves well verbally and they don’t have any real skills. That is amazing to me.
During this talk at the world-renowned TED Conference, Ken Robinson explains how schools systematically kill the creativity of children over time. It’s disturbing, yet true. So what are we to do. I home school my kids and expose them to life lessons, success principles and skills they need to know. I paid by 7 year old $100 to read, Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and now she knows what it means to over-deliver.
