The Secret To Real Weight Loss Success – DECIDE To Let Negativity Go

**This post was written by Tulsa Fitness Expert – Coach JC

Your challenge today is to eliminate negativity from your life!

Today, you will make a list of negative thoughts that you have about yourself. You will then list five areas of negativity in your life that you feel are holding you back or hindering you from achieving ultimate success. It could be something that robs your time; it could be a family member, a friend, or a co-worker who continues to tell you that you can’t lose weight; maybe it is the media that continues to bombard you with negative thoughts and perceptions.

For the next 22 days, I want you to completely disassociate yourself with these things because they will drain your energy and distract you from your ultimate goal.

Now, you will list five positive things about yourself, and starting today, you will ask your accountability partner and one other person whom you trust to tell you at least one of those things every time that you speak with them. Also, begin to tell yourself these five positive things about yourself throughout every day from here on out.

Transform Your Eating

Have You been Drinking?

With any client who is looking to lose weight, we always ask them the same question, “Have you been drinking?” This is because most people don’t realize how many empty calories they are consuming throughout the day from the beverages they drink. Consequently, we always take a look at what he or she is drinking. Calories can add up quickly if you are dinking soda, fruit juices, coffee with creamer, energy drinks, beer, or all those other sugary drinks. Your transformation for today is the zero calorie rule! Starting today you will not drink any beverages with more than zero calories. So yes, that is pretty much just water and real tea. I realize that this may be advice that you have heard before, but remember, this is a game plan and this is part two that you need to master in your nutrition. Zero-Calorie Beverages! The amount of sugar that food manufacturers use in beverages is crazy. One can of soda has about ten teaspoons of sugar… that’s ridiculous! So, starting today your goal is two-fold: to eliminate these beverages from your daily consumption and to drink more water. Did you know that your body is made up of 60 percent water? Water is essential for your body to perform at its optimal level, and most people don’t realize how important water is for fat loss. We always advise our clients to get at least eight glasses (or half of their body weight in ounces) of water a day. On days that you exercise, you should get at least 16 glasses of water per day.

*If you are exercising outside in extreme heat you may need to consume a sports drink that contains electrolytes, carbohydrates, and minerals, as water will not replenish those important minerals that you are sweating out at that time.
